Discord is an extremely useful platform that the whole scribe community uses to be in touch with each other and with Happy Scribe admins. We use it for guideline questions, file/editor/AI issues, support from an admin, or to voice general or specific feedback. You’re also welcome to hold informal conversations with other scribes! Though try not to make too much noise as that may compromise the visibility of important messages.

Scribes are varyingly active on Discord and are not required to always be online. Here’s what we expect from you.

• You check Discord at least once per day when you work on a file that day, even if it’s very short.
• For days you don’t work on any files, you are not required to be online on Discord, though please be aware that we may ask for your availability for upcoming or pending files and projects. It’s very much recommended to check Discord even during those days. Unless, of course, you’re simply unavailable.
• Check especially whether an admin (Boris, Yasmin or Maddy) has sent you any private messages on Discord.

There’s a lot happening at Happy Scribe every day that we need scribes to be aware of. For admins it’s very important that scribes get back to us when they’re working on files.
