Cases π
You have been working on a specific clientβs files and applying formatting that was not specifically elaborated in the guidelines before. Now these guidelines exist, do you continue as before, to keep things consistent for the customer, or change the formatting accordingly?
or
You have been applying formatting on files for which there were no prior Happy Scribe guidelines, such as verbatim format. Now these guidelines exist, do you continue as before, to keep things consistent for the customer, or change the formatting accordingly?
etc.
Solution β
In both cases, if you have been specifically assigned to work on a project (with fixed turnaround time, price, etc.) we recommend you do not switch your formatting unless otherwise instructed. Projects heavily rely on proper consistency.
If you are simply claiming files from the queue, even if itβs from a recurring customer, any file you claim must always be formatted in accordance with the latest possible guidelines. Please check the Happy Tribe to locate these. Unlike specific projects, regular streams of files should preferably follow any guideline updates possible.
