It is paramount that the work we submit together is of top quality and adhering to the Happy Scribe guidelines. Luckily, we have reviewers that can help us guarantee this!
While reviewers do their very best to correct a scribe’s work, it can happen that there’s one or more points you, the scribe, don’t agree on. It’s essential to align on these issues together and clear up any doubts about correct transcription or subtitling work. In the end this helps everybody improve! 💪🏽
Send a message to [email protected] 📨. This message must be in 🇬🇧 English, otherwise we won’t be able to help you.
<aside> 💡 You can use a translating tool like Google Translate or DeepL to help you, but please ensure that any language-related references (e.g. “The reviewer wrote ‘estuve’ but it should be ‘he estado’”) are still in the original language.

Include, if you remember it, the file name of your reviewed gig or at least the length of the file.
Make a copy of this spreadsheet and fill it in, mentioning your points of disagreement in a structured, easy-to-read manner to keep things clearer for the reviewer. Make sure to include separate examples in each cell with a brief explanation and not one general point or concern.

The idea is that the reviewer can directly answer your inquiry from just the cell and leave a comment, and that an Admin won’t have to dig deep for the language errors that they might not be able to find due to limited or non-existing proficiency.
<aside> 💡 Please take some time to look at the reviewer’s evaluation form to see if your mistakes add up to the grade that you got. This might help you support your case.

Attach it to your email as a shareable spreadsheet. Don’t download it to Excel, but edit it in the online Google Sheets version!
