You’ve made a lot of edits to a file but due to external or internal circumstances, you were unable to finish it or to submit it. You’d like to get compensated for the work done.

You can message an admin or reach out to [email protected]. We will take each case into separate consideration based on 2 factors:

• Reason for losing the file
• Time spent on it compared to the scribe who finished it after you

Based on this, we make one of three decisions:

1. We split your pay. We usually split it 50/50, but may also split it 70/30 if justified.
2. We fully compensate you and de-compensate the other scribe (only if they barely worked on it).
3. We cannot compensate you, because too little edits were made before you lost the file.

We try not to de-compensate the second scribe too much, as this would lead to unpredictable deduction of pay through no fault of their own. Whatever we do, we try to keep things fair for the both of you!
