The sound wave in the editor is different from the audio. It is either entirely wrong, or it is not synced to the audio (which it of course should be).

Solution

Here are the steps:

  1. Do not report the file as unworkable. This is reserved for faulty files from the client’s side. In this case it’s due to an issue with our editor. It is however workable, it just needs some extra attention ✌🏽.
  2. Inform an admin using the #platform-issues channel.
    1. If an admin is online, they will ensure your sound wave gets adjusted for you by the engineers. This can be done in a matter of minutes, so you can simply hold onto the file.

    2. If an admin doesn’t respond within 1 or 2 hours or well enough before your deadline passes or if it’s the weekend or bank holiday, try your best to finish the file still. Please sync your capsules according to the audio, not according to the soundwave.

      1. Not enough time to finish the file without the sound wave?
        1. Ask for an extension if it’s enough. An admin can un-count it for you afterwards.
        2. If the extension is not enough, un-claim the file and include this in your message to an admin. They can un-count that for you too.
      2. Enough time? Perfect, then go ahead! Inform an admin when you’re done so that when they’re available, they can act on it directly.

      If an admin doesn’t respond initially, they will ask you how things went and if you need any further retroactive changes, like un-counting your deadline extension.
