You’re unable to receive money on your current bank account, it takes a long time to get it, or the transfer fees are really high. You want to open or send us a new bank account and are wondering what the best option is.

1. Getting a different bank account.

   1. We recommend getting a brand new, Wise bank account. Please thoroughly check that you’re aware of possible fees or other hiccups! Alternatively, you can try Payoneer, though scribes have told us that it can take a while or require a lot of supporting documents. Most scribes with this issue have therefore gone and created a Wise account.

   2. Ask a fellow scribe, friend, or family member to make use of their bank account. Yes, you can tie multiple scribe accounts to the same bank account! Scribes have done it before.

2. Inform an admin of your new bank account and specify the account details.
3. In the case of using a fellow scribe’s bank account, they need to confirm with an admin that we may use their account for your transfers as well. Very important: the original scribe needs to re-confirm the name(s) of the scribe using the bank account as well as the bank account that’s going to be used. We cannot directly copy this from Wise.
