This is probably a skipped silence.

Skipped silences are portions of a file with no transcribable speech that are at least 30 seconds long (this may be shortened in the future).

You’ll notice this when the skipped parts are not playable on the timeline in the transcription or subtitles editor. On the subtitles editor, it will also be marked with a 🔇 icon in the soundwave.

Skipped silences require no further action from scribes. Just make sure you’re aware that they can pop up anywhere in a file, and that they shorten the length of your gig (meaning, in other words, that a file might be longer than the gig says it is).
