To make sure you’re all set up for payments, here are your 2 options:

• Get paid automatically— fast and easy. Happens every 2 weeks. All we need are your bank details!
  • Either without an invoice, or with a retroactive invoice.
• Get paid manually— slower, usually preferred by people who work on big projects. You get paid once a month! This option is permitted for people who wish to get paid only after issuing an invoice.

Submitting your payment information

When signin up on the platform, a form might ask you to submit your payment information. If it doesn’t, submit your payment in an email to [email protected].

Please do not send screenshots: always send your bank account details in text to avoid type-over errors!

We pay through Wise, but we are unable to pay directly to other Wise usernames due to the way our platform connects to the Wise API. Therefore, make sure to specify your full bank details, even if you use Wise as well.

How can I send you my invoices?

When do I get paid?

• If you get paid automatically—We automatically pay you every two weeks for any files you’ve worked on (We process any due payments every 2 weeks: on the 1st and on the 15th of the month). This includes weekend days.
• If you get paid manually—Every new month!

Do I need to state the VAT on my invoices?

If you’re sending invoices, are based in the EU and you have a valid EU ID:

• Since you will invoice our irish entity that is part of the EU, the VAT will be 0 because of the reverse charge mechanism: "The transaction is considered an intracommunity supply of goods or services, and it's zero-rated for VAT purposes in EU countries".
• Requirements for the scribe:
  • Include the EU VAT number and our VAT number on the invoice.
  • Report the transaction in her Modelo 349 (declaration of intracommunity operations).
  • Mention the reverse charge mechanism in the invoice, e.g., "VAT exempt under Article 138 of the EU VAT Directive.

What are the rates?

Our rates are based off the specific service and translation pair involved, as well as any custom project-based guidelines. Sometimes we’re able to assign you larger volumes which are priced at custom rates.

Transcription and subtitling rates in the same language as the audio vary greatly depending on the language and the estimated difficulty of the transcription file. This is generally between 0.60€ and 3.00€ per minute, though the minimum and maximum may differ per language. Nordic languages and Swiss German may be paid up to 7.00€ per minute.
