Do you take into account real-life interruptions, time for research, and final review before submitting?
Correction time
To calculate the time to complete, we first estimate the correction time
: how much time you need to correct the file.
The correction time
considers corrections, research, and final review, but it doesn't consider the time you need for breaks and interruptions.
Its estimation is based on the factors explained here, and to calculate it we look at examples from the past: how much time an average Happy Tribe member spends correcting a file with similar difficulty.
To account for errors in the estimation, and because not all scribes have the same working speed, we add about 60% extra time to the correction time.
Breaks
Finally, to calculate the time to complete, we add time for breaks.
The length and quantity of breaks depend on the correction time. For example, a file with an estimated correction time of 7h would have many 7 minutes breaks, a couple 30 minutes breaks, and one long 14 hours break for sleeping time.
This would amount to 17h30m of total break time: 3h30m for short and medium breaks, and 14h for the long break.
Reserving files
At Happy Scribe, we are constantly working towards providing our customers with the best service possible. One of our main objectives is to deliver files with the fastest turnaround in the market.
In order for us to be able to reach this objective, we cannot afford to reserve files. Hence, we ask you to only claim files when you are sure you have the availability to start working on them right away.
<aside> 😊 Remember that happy customers will in turn allow us to have more files available for everyone.
