The performance score is a metric that helps you monitor how well you are doing at Happy Scribe, it also serves as a tool for you to make progress and grow within the community. It ranges from 0 to 100 points taking into account a number of your last submissions.

It is important to thrive for a high performance score. The system takes into account the score when displaying gigs to you. Depending on your score you could be shown certain content or you could simply see more work available.

How is it calculated?

1. Quality points ⭐

Being a great transcriber means delivering excellent-quality transcripts and subtitles. Accuracy is certainly one of the most important things to master as a Scribe. That is why your performance score will take into account the average score of the reviews you will be receiving while working on the platform.

The higher your average score, the more points you will be getting. You can gain up to 40 quality points.

Your quality points will reflect your last reviews received. You will start getting points if your average review score is above 3.0, any score below that does not add up to any quality points and you will only start gaining 1 point, 2 point, etc. above 3.0.

That means that:

And so on.

2. Punctuality points ⏰

Being able to deliver very good work and respecting deadlines is a great skill. The performance score will increase for those Scribes that are very good at submitting gigs within the time to complete. You can accumulate up to 25 points for this.

You only get points if you submit at least 50% of your gigs on time. Unfortunately, if your percentage is below 50, you will not receive any punctuality points.

Delivering a file on time means submitting it within the advertised time to complete it. Keep in mind that if you don’t end up using the extra time from the deadline extension, the gig will count as submitted on time. Missed deadlines will also count as files not submitted on time.
