At Happy Scribe we want people to work in the way they are most productive and happy. Additionally, we have full trust in everyone in the team. We either work with someone with full trust, or we don’t work together.

📅 Your Schedule

We all know what schedule works best for ourselves and we support you doing the one that suits you the most. Be it starting early and leaving early, starting late and leaving late, starting early and leaving late with a big break in the middle... everyone should do what works for them and helps them be most productive. In return we ask that everyone is very responsible and has a strong work ethic.

We put flexibility in place because we have high trust and we expect great things from you.

There is no bias or preference for any schedule. Every one of us is a unique person and has to do what works best for them.

💻 Core Hours Overlap

We want to make sure that flexibility with our own schedules can also go hand in hand with team collaboration and communication. Most people are in the office or responsive to messages between 9.30 and 6.30pm. If you are going to be working more than 2 hours before or after this start and end time, and if you are going to taking a break in the day that’s longer than 1 hour, communicate in the #absences-wfh channel, making sure that the people you work with more closely are aware.

Everyone at Happy Scribe is on a Monday to Friday schedule.

⏰ Schedule-send late messages

As a rule of thumb, we should try to keep communication within reasonable times. If you find yourself working before 6am or after 9pm, or in the weekend, we recommend schedule-sending the message to respect other people’s work/life balance, unless it’s an emergency.

👩‍⚕️ Transparency

You don’t need to ask for permission or book time off to go to a doctors appointment or any similar thing. You just need to put it in your calendar and tell the team so they know you won’t be around. Share it in the #absences-wfh channel so your team knows where you are.
